Healy Dell, possibly the best place in Whitworth, tho some would say its in Rochdale. Either way, it' good for a wander or a mushroom.

a totem pole with, as far as i can make out, a foxes head, a rabbit, a sleeping wizard at the top, and for some reason a gorilla.

Theres loads of these stick/branch formations about built by the wardens i presume, most are hedges, but this ones almost like a maze to walk into, though its spiral shaped, so you go in clockwise and come out anti-colckwise. the construction is lovely, the main struts are drove into the earth so then the thinner branches are woven round horizontally.

Some big old rusty doors on the bomb factory. there are possibilities to make some crete ramps down here, as there's ample rubble form the decomposing buildings, available free water via the river. neighbors may be a concern.
